The Book Sale Happened Again!

This is seriously one of my favorite times of the year. I can’t say it is my hands-down favorite, because my husband might get pouty that my absolute favorite isn’t our anniversary. So I will say I have multiple favorite times of the year, and this is one of them.

The used book sale!

I love this. It is a haven for people like me who have limited income and a love of reading. I was trying to keep an eye on money this year, so I did something I haven’t before. I set a budget. And I stuck to it. Yay me. Even with my budget, I managed to walk away with a whopping 32 books for me, and one for my mom. The love of reading runs in the family, you see.

My newest babies!

Even with space at a premium in our apartment, I can’t resist the call of new books!
A full list of what I got under the jump!

I had some specific books in mind, and I only found a few of them. The rest was a combination of “This looks interesting” and “I have part of this series”. Sadly,  I got one book that is the middle book to a trilogy. *grumbles* Guess I will have to go get book one from the library sometime.

The list (in no particular order):

Phoenix Rising by Philippa Ballantine and Tee Morris
Legacy of Blood by Richard A. Knaak
The Beekeeper’s Apprentice by Laurie R. King
Anathem by Neal Stephenson
The Strain by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan
The Curse of Chalion by Lois McMaster Bujold
Still Life by Louis Penny
People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks
The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
Parsival by Richard Monaco
The Door in the Hedge by Robin McKinley
Tam Lin by Pamela Dean
Out of Time by Lynn Abbey
Shalador’s Lady by Anne Bishop
Alchymist by Ian Irvine
by Ian Irvine
by Ian Irvine
Sunshine by Robin McKinley
Beggars In Spain by Nancy Kress
An Echo In The Bone by Diana Gabaldon
Another Fine Myth by Robert Lynn Asprin
The Singing Stone by O.R. Melling
Dragon Keeper by Robin Hobb
The Darkangel by Meredith Ann Pierce
Mortal Coils by Eric S. Nylund
Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman
Girl With a Pearl Earring by Tracy Chevalier
Unicorn’s Blood by Patricia Finney
Chocolat by Joanne Harris
The Seeing Stone by Kevin Crossley-Holland

I am always excited to get new books, but I think because I took extra care in selecting these books this time around, I am SUPER stoked to read them. I have library books to finish off, and then books for review. But then I am into my owned books for a while, and I don’t even know where to begin.
